The Frog & Frigate

Located near the Docklands of Southampton's Historic waterfront, The Frog and Frigate is an old drinking establishment which specialises in late night music and dancing. The upstairs bar is open every weekend with a stage for live band nights. On Friday and Saturday nights in the downstairs bar you can sing along to a live guitarist with a DJ playing songs in between, covering all time great tracks from the sixties, seventies and some more up to date tunes as well. The tradition follows that the crowd sings along, dances on the tables and generally has a great time, banging on the ceiling and makes as much noise as the singer! The pub now has a late license to open late until 4.00 am every night except Sunday. (although may close earlier at management discretion). Restricted access after 2.00 am.
There are two bars, the lower bar is where the singing, drinking and dancing take place, upstairs there is another bar with tables and chairs to sit and chat with your friends and the music is set at a lower level. Both bars now have Air Conditioning to keep the air as cool as possible on those hectic crowded and chaotic nights.
