We have now added details of the Old Farmhouse Pub near the centre of Town. This is an old historic pub with a country atmosphere where home cooked food is served.

The Arcades a band from Southampton University has won the regional final in a charity battle of the bands competition. Regular favourites at Livesoc gigs, the band has already played in Rhino’s club and the Mitre pub twice so we are looking forwards to a great year for them in 2006.

We have heard that the Pub that was formally know as Strikers which briefly became Liquid has now been renamed Wicked after legal action was threatened by the owner of the Liquid name.

The Bridge Tavern in Holbury was repainted whilst the Landlord was on Holiday. Adrian Feeney, licensee of The Bridge Tavern an ardent Chealsea Fan was dismayed to find the Pub is resplendent in the colours of Southampton Football Club. Full Story (BBC)

The 68-year old Park Royal brewery in London is being closed. It was the main source of Guinness for England. All Guinness is now being sourced directly from the original Guinness brewery at St James' Gate in Dublin, Ireland.

We have been informed that all live music at The Angel of the South have been cancelled due to their Live Music License having expired. They are applying for a new one from the Council and have employed a live DJ to provide the weekend entertainment until it is restored.

We have found a newly opened bar in Southampton High Street. The Bar Ice has replaced the Tonic Kitchen. It has been open for about 2 weeks and appears to be a great new venue.
